Staff of the Public customs service of Ukraine detained a large consignment of expensive clothes and accessories of known world brands under the guise of humanitarian assistance, in particular, "clothes for pilgrims". About it reported sources in the Public customs service.

The name of charity foundation which tried to deliver counterfeit goods to Ukraine, isn't disclosed yet.

94 cargo pallets from which are described and looked through only 25 are detained therefore to estimate an overall cost of party while it is impossible. But, according to customs experts, already it is now obvious that it is a question of millions and, probably, tens of millions hryvnias, reports "LEAGUE".

In a package of documents accompanying freight there was permission of the Commission on questions of humanitarian assistance at the Cabinet of Ukraine which has really carried subjects making it to category of humanitarian assistance. This document is the basis for release of similar freights from any kinds of taxes, including the VAT.

Among the clothes noted as clothes for pilgrims, products from "Prada", by "Valentino", "Gucci", "Dior", "Armani", "Antonio Maras" and other known fashion houses were found. The average dress from this set is estimated at the sum of $565.

Besides, as a part of the detained party of smuggling two tons of auto parts of Valeo firm (are used for the French models of cars) and the Swiss knifes of the Wengen brand were found.

At the moment customs services hold inquiry after which materials will be transferred to law enforcement agencies.
