The deputy group "National Self-defense" won't support in parliament initiative of deputies of BYuT about reduction by 3-5 times of the size of penalties
for traffic violation of the rules.
It was declared by the member of group Yury Grimchak, reports a press - service "National self-defense".
"We consider that reduction of the size of a penalty for driving of being able alcoholic or drug intoxication from present 2550-3400 hryvnias to 425-510 hryvnias can lead to sharp increase in quantity dorozhno - transport incidents because of drunk drivers", - he told.
"As we don't consider expedient and mitigation of punishments for speed excess, journey on a red signal of the traffic light, etc.", - the deputy added.
Grimchak noted: "If People's Deputies Oliynyk, Portnov, Tregubov and Korotyuk motivate such initiative with need to bring the sizes of administrative penalties into accord with the Criminal code why in that case not to offer them the corresponding project of changes in the Criminal code and thus to strengthen responsibility for criminal actions? ".
"After all already for anybody isn't secret that the scanty penalties provided by our Criminal code for these or those crimes, not only don't answer realities of this day, but also even became a stimulator to illegal actions", - the politician summed up.
It is known that four deputies from BYuT fraction introduced the bill by which reduction of penalties for traffic violation of the rules on the average by 4 times is offered in parliament.
