In Nikolaev the militia covered a network of "underground" poker clubs

In Nikolaev police officers stopped activity of a network of illegal poker clubs.

Reported about it in Management of counteraction of crime in the sphere of economy of Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Nikolaev area.

Organizers of poker clubs are three nikolayevets age of 28, 31 and 25 years.

«At first they rented the room where organized poker tournaments without any receiving financial profit, however, having counted possible earnings, «reformed» format of meetings. As a result the prize size, depending on number of visitors and rates, could reach 10 thousand dollars».

«Men konspirirovatsya: played only at night, part in tournaments was taken only by the checked faces and their very limited circle, the cash desk was stored in hiding places, periodically changing addresses of the rented rooms. Were attracted and «sponsors». Organizers suggested certain citizens to deposit funds before each game, and on the termination they got from it profit–about 10% of a prize» , - told in militia.

As a result militia «I appeared suddenly» in poker club just when there was a game. As a result of searches withdrew more than one thousand game counters, 12 packs of gambling cards, 550 US dollars and more than 12 thousand hryvnias, draft records, the equipment for game in poker, the computer equipment and mobile phones. Players were brought to administrative responsibility under article 181 of the Code of Ukraine about administrative offenses ( «Gamblings» ), and concerning organizers of a gaming opened criminal proceedings under article 203-2 of the Criminal code of Ukraine ( «Occupation by a gaming» ).

We will remind, earlier it was reported that in center of Nikolaev The Organized Crime Control Department covered an underground casino with a roulette and poker tables.
