The Pechersky district court of Kiev chose on July 6 detention for a period of 2 months as a measure of restraint for the former chief of regional department of militia of the Golovanevsky region of the Kirovograd area Mikhail Kovalsky detained on suspicion in drawing deliberate heavy injuries which entailed death of the inhabitant of this area Valery Oliynyk.
About it journalists were reported by the representative of the Prosecutor General's Office.
He noted that election of a measure of restraint for the former prosecutor of the Golovanevsky area Evgeny Gorbenko is still considered by court.
As it was reported, on June 29 the Pechersky regional court prolonged Gorbenko and Kovalsky's arrest till July 6.
On June 26 they were detained as article 115 Criminally - the procedural code for 3 days.
Earlier the State Office of Public Prosecutor dismissed Gorbenko who allegedly took part in skirmish with Oliynyk as a result of which the last was lost, from a position of the prosecutor of the Golovanevsky area.
The pretrial investigation of the State Office of Public Prosecutor established that on June 16 Gorbenko, Kovalsky and the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from BYuT Victor Lozinsky deliberately put heavy injuries to Oliynyk, including with firearms application which entailed death of the victim.
On July 3 Rada ahead of schedule stopped powers of the deputy Lozinsky then the SBU put him on the wanted list.
