The cabinet approved the project new Criminally - the procedural code. The Minister of Justice Nikolay Onishchuk reported about it at a briefing in Cabinet of Ministers.
He emphasized that operating Criminally - the procedural code was entered in 1961 and is outdated.
In particular, according to the minister, the existing code contains excessive authoritativeness and bureaucracy of procedural hearing of cases, and also doesn't provide procedural flatness of the parties during trial.
Onishchuk emphasized that on the value Criminally - the procedural code is the second document, after the Constitution, on ensuring human rights.
He noted that the project passed examination of the European experts and received positive comments.
According to the minister, when developing the project experience of a number of the European countries, first of all Germany was used.
The minister reported that the project will be submitted for public discussion and only after this discussion will take place, it will be approved by the government.
