Case of explosions in Lozova ended - all accused amnestied

Consideration of the case about a fire and explosions on 61 - m an arsenal of Armed forces of Ukraine of Lozova (The Kharkov Region) in August, 2008 came to the end on November 26 in Appellate court of Naval Forces of Ukraine in Sevastopol.

As reported in court, to them business arrived in March, 2009. Accused on business there passed the former commander of military unit Andrey Polyakov and the chief engineer of part Alexander Zaika. A.Zaika asked to apply to him the law "About Amnesty" in the spring. The court satisfied its petition. A. Polyakov didn't plead guilty, and the court considered all facts of the case. However at court session on November 26 A. Polyakov also asked to apply to it provisions of the law on amnesty of that it has minor children, and he was the participant of operations. The court satisfied A. Polyakov's petition and amnestied it then ceased to consider criminal case in fact.

As explained in court, the decision can be appealed in a month in the Supreme Court. Also together with criminal case in Appellate court of Naval Forces of Ukraine claims about compensation of material damage were considered. However after the court ceased to consider case in fact, claims will be transferred for consideration in civil vessels.
