The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko expressed indignation of release from - under guards of the chairman of settlement council Partenit Nikolay Konev who was detained in 2008 when receiving a bribe in the sum of 5,2 million dollars.
"It is a question to the Head investigative department of the Prosecutor General's Office - they ran this business. At least, while it was in militia hands, everything went according to the law. As occurred then, I have no right to make comments. Though I will frankly tell, how the person, as the minister: to me it is bitter from - that the majority of the most resonant affairs on bribery comes to the end actually with anything", - Lutsenko told today journalists in Kiev.
Thus it reminded that every year from the moment of its stay as the Minister of Internal Affairs the militia detains when receiving bribes about 1700 officials.
"Unfortunately, no more than three go to prison - five tens, from them a half - law enforcement officers whom we aren't going to cover from responsibility for the committed crimes. Unfortunately, others either tighten a consequence, or tighten consideration in vessels, or is simply banal pay off from legal liability. The militia does the part - catches criminals", - Lutsenko assured.
As it was reported, on June 12, 2008 in the Crimea when receiving record in the history of Ukraine bribes in the sum more than 5 million dollars were detained the chairman of Partenitsky settlement council, and also the deputy of this council. "For 17 hectares of the earth they demanded a bribe of 6 million 800 thousand dollars, from them 5 million 200 thousand dollars they intended to appropriate, and 1 million 600 thousand dollars officially to transfer to Partenitskaya's account of settlement council", - the Interior Minister reported.
The State Office of Public Prosecutor brought criminal case on signs of the crime provided by h. 3 Art. 368 (receiving a bribe in especially large sizes) the Criminal code of Ukraine. On November 4 last year it was reported about detention of the third person involved in criminal case about the largest bribe in the history of Ukraine.
Partenitsky's deputy поссовета Sergey Martyuk released on June 26 of this year from - under guards, declared insolvency of charge on the case of receiving a bribe in 5,2 million dollars.
