The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yury LUTSENKO refused to comment on the statement of the People's Deputy David ZHVANIYA ("Our Ukraine — National Self-defense" fraction) about the impeachment requirement to the President of Ukraine Victor YUSHCHENKO.
As the correspondent of the UNIAN reports, the Interior Minister declared it today on a press - conferences in Kiev, having emphasized that such comment from its party would be "antistate".
At the same time the minister emphasized that the public conflict between the former colleagues V. Yushchenko and D. ZhVANIYa harms to the state interests of Ukraine.
"I don't like political, state, moral aspects of this conflict. It unacceptable considering statist interest. And as the Minister of Internal Affairs who is subordinated to the President of Ukraine, I will refrain from the comment concerning D. ZhVANIYa's statement", - I told Yu.LUTsENKO.
He also declared that doesn't approve D. ZhVANIYa's behavior on interrogations in the State Office of Public Prosecutor and his incorrect statements to the investigator.
As reported the UNIAN, on July 23 the Prosecutor General's Office declared D. ZhVANIYa's provocative counteraction to a legal investigation of infringement of V. Yushchenko's life.
"The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine holds a pretrial investigation on the criminal case brought upon infringement of life of the statesman Victor YUSHCHENKO, - is spoken in the statement. - Today, on July 23, 2008, for the 10th hour for interrogation on this criminal case the People's Deputy D. ZhVANIYa is subpoenaed as a witness. Thus according to Art. 85-2 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine interrogation was planned to carry out with video application".
In the State Office of Public Prosecutor reported that D. ZhVANIYa arrived to the Head investigative department of the Prosecutor General's Office at 10.15 and at once at the beginning of investigative action when to it the question of biographical particulars, according to requirements p.1 Art. 85 and ч.4 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine was raised, it is causeless, wishing to use any artificial reason for interrogation avoidance, abusing the status of the People's Deputy of Ukraine, self-willedally left the room of an office of the investigator.
On numerous remarks of the investigator on illegality and inadmissibility of such actions of.ZhVANIYa didn't react, and, neglecting Constitution requirements, Criminally - the procedural code and the Law of Ukraine "About the status of the People's Deputy of Ukraine", from further participation in investigative action evaded.
In the State Office of Public Prosecutor also noticed that D. ZhVANIYa affords numerous, groundless statements in mass media about lack of the fact of poisoning, however systematically evades from granting about it indications and the argument of the position when carrying out investigative actions.
On July 24 a press - D. ZhVANIYa's service distributed the statement, in which the opinion stated to V. Yushchenko on D. ZhVANIYa's participation to "by nobody to a fact in evidence allegedly it (the President - UNIANA) poisonings" is condemned.
In the statement, in particular, it is said that V. Yushchenko's similar actions call into question its compliance to a high post of the President of Ukraine as Constitution violation, in particular regarding an innocence presumption, is the powerful basis for impeachment procedure to the head of state.
