Investigation is complete and criminal case concerning one of organizers of large gangster formation 1973, known in criminal circles by nickname "Demon" is directed to appellate court of the Zaporozhye Region. About it reports a press - service Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Criminal case on signs of Art. 257 (gangsterism) of UK of Ukraine is brought by the State Office of Public Prosecutor on Management materials on fight against organized crime of Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. Workers also took part in gang elimination the Organized Crime Control Department of the Zaporozhye Region and ARE the Crimea. For participation in the armed gang to the malefactor threatens till 15 years of imprisonment.
According to the chief the Organized Crime Control Department of Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk Region of Herman Masyaykin, earlier judged native of Kerch was detained in the summer in Russia as a result of special operation Dnepropetrovsk the Organized Crime Control Department, criminal investigation department of militia of Moscow and special forces "Sobr". "Demon" disappeared from the Ukrainian militiamen in the Crimea, the Nikolaev and Chernovitsky Region then moved to Moscow. According to field investigators the Organized Crime Control Department, "Demon" began the criminal career in the middle 90-x years as a part of an organized criminal group led by Sergey Galitsky subsequently shot during criminal wars in the Crimea." The demon" moved to the Dnepropetrovsk Region where was a part of one of the largest criminal organizations who during 2003-2007 acted on the territory of the Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye Region, and also in the Crimea. Field investigators don't exclude communication between this gang and one influential financially - industrial group. In particular, in the Zaporozhye Region malefactors partially controlled "shadow" development of slag dumps of JSC Dneprospetsstal. Besides, participants of an organized criminal group committed crimes on "order". In particular, in April, 2003 they put with hammers heavy injuries of the acting general director of "Dneproblenergo". Bandits made attempts at murders of lawyers to affect results of civil processes in economic vessels.
During organized criminal group neutralization police officers withdrew some arsenals of the weapon, in particular, Kalashnikova machine guns, the gun "Czech Zbroyovka" with the device for silent firing, nearly 50 grenades "F-1" and charges.
Five participants of a dangerous gang this year were condemned to imprisonment from 10 to 15 years. Two more were killed during redistribution of spheres of criminal influence.
