The deputy minister of internal affairs of Ukraine, the chief of militia of public safety Alexander Savchenko considers that granting to citizens of permissions to purchase of the traumatic weapon won't lead to deterioration of a criminogenic situation in the state.
He declared it today on a press - conferences in Kiev, answering questions of journalists.
"That it will allow - analyze, we will see. I don't think that it will influence rise in crime", - Savchenko told.
Thus he noted that in the Ministry of Internal Affairs development of the relevant statutory act according to which it will be authorized to citizens to buy the traumatic weapon is almost complete.
"I am ready it though tomorrow to give to the minister for the signature", - Savchenko told, having noted that, considering New Year's vacation, this departmental act will need to be agreed in the Ministry of Justice and several other departments, and therefore finally it can take effect not earlier than the end of January.
As it was reported, on December 25 the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko told: "We decided to prepare documents to allow all without exception to categories of citizens, except addicts and alcoholics, freely to get the gun of traumatic nonlethal action... I hope, in January the question will be legally settled, and each conscious citizen who has opportunity to buy such gun in shop, and then to register in an authorization system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will have such opportunity".
