For the past days employees of the State traffic inspectorate fined 110 pedestrians across Ukraine.
It in time to "the direct telephone line" on Wednesday was declared by the head of the department of GAI of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Kolomiyets.
In particular, the chief of GAI emphasized that in Ukraine every third road accident happens because of pedestrians, and also from - for unlit streets, low-quality roads, etc.
Kolomiyets reminded that new penalties for violation of the rules of traffic provide penalties for pedestrians of 51-85 hryvnias.
The chief of GAI is sure that new penalties will yield results and pedestrians will be more responsible regarding observance of traffic regulations.
In Nikolaev as reported in Sector on GAI public relations in the Nikolaev area, for the last two days the staff of GAI fined only 9 pedestrians. The majority of them passed the carriageway in unspecified places. Today GAI officers collected from pedestrians - offenders penalties in the minimum size that makes about 51 hryvnias.
We will remind that before coming into effect of the law on increase in penalties for such violations the prevention was taken out or the penalty at a rate of 1,7 - 8,5 hryvnias was collected.
