Ship-building Wadan Yards received guarantees of the government of Germany for the sum of 110 million euros

The ship-building group Wadan Yards received guarantees of the federal government of Germany for the sum of 110 million euros. As reports a press - the service of the company, a state guarantee for three insurance companies of Europe (R+V, Zurich, Kofas) were received as ensuring financing of the current orders. About it reports RBC - Ukraine


In particular, the first 40 million euros will have to be allocated till June 8 of this year funds are used for vessel construction end, including passenger-and-freight ferries for the Stena company.

We will remind, Wadan Yards at the beginning of 2009 obtained the target credits for the sum of 240 million euros from the federal government and the government of the State of Mecklenburg - Forward Pomerania in which territory there are German shipyards of ship-building group.

The ship-building group Wadan Yards is created in July, 2008 as a result of the transaction on acquisition of part of assets of Aker Yards shipbuilding company. Three shipyards were a part of the transaction - two in Germany (Wismar and Varnemyunde) and one in Ukraine (the Nikolaev plant "Okean"), and also the 2nd design - bureau and 2 engineering centers. Now 70% of shares of the company of Wadan Yards belong to FLC West, 30% - to the Korean concern STX. The board of directors of Wadan Yards is headed by the Russian businessman Andrey Burlakov. Today in a portfolio of orders of the company - 35 vessels: 12 of them are under construction in Germany, 23 - in Ukraine.
