For optimization of quite account compound prime cost - the raw materials occupying nearly 40%, here instead of expensive Brazilian bauxites passed to bauxites of Guinea and Gyana, reduced purchase prices of the caustic soda and limestone. These measures allowed to cut expenses on raw materials for 7.5 dollars per 1 ton of the let-out alumina in the first half of the year 2009 in comparison with the last year's. All consumed heatenergy resources (a share in prime cost of nearly 30%) are also subject to rigid economy. The enterprise passed to the maximum use of the electric power at night when its tariff is much lower. Not less close attention is paid to decrease in expenses on transportation of finished goods. Nearly 98% of finished goods plant are sent to aluminum plants of the company by RUSAL to Russia. Since May cheaper transport - the Kerch ferry - Caucasus port is used. Since June began alumina shipment through Dnepr - Bugsky seaport. On vessels the river - the sea it is delivered in Rostov port, and further to Siberia already in cars. It is the most effective and economic route.
