During carrying out today public hearings on consideration of the draft decision of the Nikolaev city council "About establishment of restrictions on realization of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and beer in the territory of Nikolaev", the known archeologist Alexander SMIRNOV - the chairman of the Nikolaev city organization of the Ukrainian People's Party, opposed categorically inclusion in the offered list of restrictions of separate point on a ban of realization of alcoholic beverages, beer and tobacco products in the seasonal objects of portable trade located in the territory Nikolaev yachts - club.
According to him, "the offered ban is discrimination in the attitude towards those subjects of business activity who provide services in service of citizens in the territory of Yachts - club as other parks, squares and vacation spots it doesn't concern". Besides, as Alexander SMIRNOV considers, "such unreasoned initiative will lead to reduction of workplaces of workers located in Yachts - club of objects of public catering, to reduction of tax revenues in the budget and to return Yachts - club in a condition of a dump of garbage in which it was throughout 90-x years".
Besides the UNP Nikolaev city organization opposed determination of the minimum distance on which it would be forbidden realization of alcoholic beverages, beer and tobacco products in stationary shops and the objects of restaurant economy located near territories of educational institutions and health care facilities.
