NGZ intends to make 1,5 million tons of alumina in 2009

The Nikolaev aluminous plant intends to make 1,5 million tons of alumina in 2009, and in 2010 - from 1,5 to 1,55 million tons of alumina.

During video - the press - conferences reported about it the director of an aluminous division of the RUSAL company (Russia) who controls NGZ,Pavel Ovchinnikov.

Ovchinnikov reminded that "RUSAL" this year agreed with FGI about a postponing of execution of investment obligations for alumina production of 1,7 million tons year.

In 2008 Nikolaev made 1,446 million tons of alumina.

Ovchinnikov noted that "RUSAL" can't agree about direct supply of the Russian gas to NGZ that would reduce prime cost of made alumina.

"This year 9 months killed on convincing our partners, in Ukraine it is the Naftogaz company and in Russia "Gazprom", to arrange direct deliveries. In our opinion, it after all resists the Ukrainian party because there are legislative restrictions", - toldOvchinnikov.

Among the NGZ aluminous enterprises can't escape in leaders and remains in the middle of a rating, reports pravda.mk.ua.

We will remind that the Nikolaev aluminous plant in January, 2008 received the international certificate of conformity of quality of management of industrial safety and OHSAS 18001 labor protection.

In 2006 the Nikolaev aluminous plant increased alumina production by 3,3% to 1,41 million tons.

In 2006 the volume of investment of the enterprise made 58,1 million dollars that is 1,5 times more, than in 2005.

NGZ and "Aluminium of Ukraine" are controlled by holdingOleg Deripaska"Russian aluminum" which enters the three of the largest producers of aluminum in the world.
