The Spanish judge will ask the owner of the Nikolaev aluminous plant on money laundering

The Spanish judge Baltasar Garson intends to arrive at the beginning of December to Moscow for investigation of facts of the case about money laundering in which the billionaire and the owner of the Nikolaev aluminous plant Oleg Deripaska appears. About it reports to Lenta.R with reference to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo. According to its data, the Russian businessman suspect of communications with the Russian mafia.

As writes El Mundo, the Spanish justice disposes proofs of participation of Deripaska to washing of 4 million euros during the period from 2001 to 2004. Mafia money allegedly passed through division of a certain UMGC company in Valencia.

Baltasar Garson is engaged in investigation of large business against the Russian mafia in Spain, known as "operation 'Wasp'" (operacion Avispa). According to El Mundo, one of key witnesses on business gave evidences about Deripaska's communications with izmaylovsky criminal group.

Deripaska's official representative distributed the statement in which it is spoken: "Some time ago we validly knew that within trial in Spain certain interrogated persons mentioned Oleg Deripaska's surname. In this regard Oleg Deripaska addressed in the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia with the statement in which asked to specify these data, and expressed readiness to answer any questions which could arise at the Spanish justice".

Deripaska's representative also reported that the businessman didn't receive official requests for evidence.

Deripaska's name was already mentioned earlier in the press in connection with the Russian organized crime. In October of last year the British newspaper The Sunday Times published article, in which it was claimed that the leader of izmaylovsky group Anton Malevsky was the business partner of the billionaire. In 2007 about Deripaska's communications with izmaylovsky I wrote German weekly Der Spiegel.

O. Deripaska - one of the richest people of a planet. In March, 2008 Deripaska with a state in 28 billion dollars took the 9th position in the rating of billionaires made by the Forbes magazine. In April of the same year the Russian Forbes recognized Deripaska as the richest citizen of Russia (his state was estimated at 28,6 billion dollars). However world financial crisis and the followed falling of stock quotations of "Norilsk Nickel" and other enterprises significantly reduced Deripaska's condition. In March, 2009 in Forbes rating the businessman was mentioned already as the owner of a fortune in 3,5 billion dollars (the 164th place). The Russian Forbes version in April, 2009 placed Deripaska on the tenth place among the Russian billionaires.
