AMKU demands from pharmaceutical campaigns not to raise prices of medicines from flu.

The antimonopoly committee of Ukraine (AMKU) made demands to the wholesale and retail pharmaceutical companies to refrain from rise in prices for the medicinal and medical means used during prevention and treatment of flu. About it reports a press - service AMKU with reference to the acting chairman of department Alexander Melnichenko.

In particular, the committee demands from participants of the market of medicines to provide an invariance of the prices of grippovy medicines of group and such products of medical appointment as vatno - gauze bandages and so forth. The cost of medicines has to remain at the price level, operating for October 23, 2009

If the pharmaceutical companies, in particular drugstores, raised the prices, AMKU demands to return them to the previous level. Otherwise the committee will consider actions of participants of the market of medicines as violation of the anti-competitive legislation and to apply penalties to 10% of an annual turnover of each of the enterprises.

"To all system of bodies of Antimonopoly committee the assignment is given to carry out checks of performance by players of the pharmaceutical market of requirements of committee and in case of identification of illegal actions to apply rigid sanctions and to leave with offers to the relevant state instances concerning deprivation of licenses for this kind of activity of those subjects who in a today's epidemiological situation in the country overstate the prices medicines", - A.Melnichenko told.
