The shipbuilding plant "Liman" reduces working week?

The shipbuilding plant "Liman" (Nikolaev) suspended construction of two yachts for total amount more than 3,5 million dollars from - for financial crisis. The director general of plant Sergey Isakov reported about it.

"One big customer froze the project till the best times, and another ceased to pay a month ago", - Isakov explained.

In this regard the plant since December intends to reduce working week.

According to Isakov, for the last two weeks six people notified on reduction, however the enterprise will try not to reduce the employees in large quantities as then these experts will be difficult to be returned.

At plant of 230 regular employees and about 35-40 involved experts.

As it was reported, 2007 "Estuary" finished at a loss 1,938 million hryvnias, having reduced net income by 59,86%, or for 6,645 million to 4,457 million hryvnias.

"Estuary" is engaged in construction and repair of vessels (including yachts, boats, the ships) up to 70 m long, with a dock weight up to 800 tons.
