Since January 1, 2009 in Ukraine the ban on advertizing of tobacco and alcoholic beverages on external carriers of advertizing and sound advertizing of alcoholic brands as the sponsor on television comes into force.
At a briefing on Wednesday I reported about it vice-the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Nikolay Tomenko.
"Since January 1, 2009 rules of activity in the market of advertizing services change - three basic norms" come into force, - warned vice-the speaker.
According to him, it is a ban on advertizing of alcoholic beverages and the corresponding trademarks means of external advertizing.
Besides, will lock advertizing of tobacco products and the corresponding trademarks means of external advertizing.
And a ban to use in TV programs sound information of advertizing character on the sponsor - the producer of alcoholic beverages, his name or a trademark.
"Since January 1 we have to enter the country where on carriers of external advertizing there will be no alcohol and tobacco advertizing, and sound advertizing of alcoholic brands on television as will consign to the past", - Tomenko declared.
Besides, the vice-the speaker reported that on Wednesday "The Verkhovna Rada Adopted the Bill of Editing of Local Taxes and Fees Which Provides Release from an Advertising Tax Those Advertising Companies Which Place Social Advertising in the First Reading".
According to Tomenko, "today the advertizing companies even if they place advertizing of social character or social advertizing, pay for its production and pay advertizing collecting in local budgets".
"Having adopted this bill in the first reading, we will prepare it for the second reading so that as much as possible to simplify in Ukraine social advertizing both on external carriers, and on television, radio and in other mass media", - explained vice-the speaker.
