The international banks invest $2 billion the new capital in the divisions in Ukraine, writes "The Financial Times". 17 banks signed the agreement on it last month.
In particular, the Italian Unicredit promised to provide 500 million hryvnias ($62 million) for "Ukrsotsbank" recapitalization. The Austrian Raiffeisen International also promised support to Ukrainian "daughter" of Raiffeisen Aval. The German Commerzbank coordinated increase in the capital of Bank Forum at 33% or $85 million
The Russian state bank VEB which established recently control over "Prominvest - bank", offered capital investments in $190 million, and also a credit line on $1 billion. Shareholders of "Ukrsibbank" which half belongs to the French BNP Paribas, agreed yesterday to increase the bank capital by 32% to 5,3 billion hryvnias. EBBR provided €500 million more the help to the Ukrainian banks.
