The president Victor Yushchenko declares need to cancel a proportional election system in Ukraine.
"Certainly, it is necessary to cancel this (proportional) model of elections, to return to majority or to open lists that the person knew for whom he votes", - the president on air on Inter TV channel told.
He noted that now in parliament (in deputies) secretaries, protection, drivers go. "I am convinced that the people don't know these people, and they can't represent them", - Yushchenko noted.
The president called unsuccessful reform of 2004 because powers of the president who didn't manage to get the third penal tried, to transfer "to the Grushevsky street (to Cabinet of Ministers).
"We should do the constitutional changes", - he declared. Thus he emphasized that the Constitution has to be written with public institutes and be accepted on a referendum.
Yushchenko also reminded that the constitutional council the first left BYuT, and behind it Party of Regions.
