"We can say that economy falling stopped, the economy started being reanimated, and there are first steps which testify to positive changes in dynamics of production. It is a sign of the beginning of stabilization, and I want to express to all government gratitude that all anti-recessionary measures which are taken by the government, local authorities, led today to that in February in relation to January we observe positive dynamics in the industry", - told Yu. Tymoshenko.
So, according to the prime minister, industrial output in February, 2009 increased by 5,4%, in particular, in a mining industry - for 9,9%, in processing industry - for 12,4%, in light industry - for 20%.
"It a little bit gives optimism, but I would like that we were reserved optimists because around the world financially - the economic crisis events proceed in large-scale volumes. And further it will be hard for Ukraine, but these are the first positive steps which we observe", - I declared to Yu. Tymoshenko.
