The Verkhovna Rada appointed the next election of the president of Ukraine to Sunday, October 25, 2009.
For 401 deputies voted. Including 174 deputies of PR, 155 - BYuT, 26 - NUNS, 27 - communists, 19 - Litvin's Block.
The resolution comes into force from the date of its publication.
The chairman of the parliament Vladimir Litvin emphasized that deputies "made the political decision".
Andrey Shevchenko's resolution on purpose of elections for December 27 received only 1 vote pro.
It is known that Victor Yushchenko won presidential elections in the third round, on December 26, 2004, inauguration of the president took place on January 23, 2005.
