Ukraine and EU agreed about "road map" – international passports "will order"?

Ukraine and the European Union agreed previously about signing of the document "in a format of a road map" in a context of a question of a visa-free regime for Ukraine.

The head of department of the European Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pavel Klimkin told the newspaper about it "The businessman - Ukraine".

"By drawing up a road map of EU and Ukraine will in common define conditions which we have to execute for introduction of a visa-free regime. It will be the accurate conditions which performance can be traced", - Klimkin told.

According to him, signing of such document favourably to Ukraine as removes subjectivity of determination of readiness of the state to introduction of a visa-free regime.

After performance by Kiev of all conditions of a road map Brussels will be obliged to fulfill the assumed obligations and to realize a visa-free regime.

According to interlocutors of the newspaper from among the diplomats accredited in Ukraine, the European Union demands "to order issue of international passports".

"You have even no general database of the issued international passports. The person can commit a crime in EU, return to Ukraine, tell that lost the passport, and to receive new, having changed one letter in a name or a surname. And we never learn that it is the same person", - the employee of embassy of one of countries of Eastern Europe declared.

Sources of the edition in a diplomatic corps note also that the obligatory requirement of EU is introduction in Ukraine of biometric international passports.

Date of completion of negotiations with Brussels on a visa question while is unknown.

"The road map doesn't contain concrete terms of its performance, such is European Commission practice", - Klimkin told.

The source informed on a course of negotiations, assumed that Ukraine will fulfill the requirements containing in a road map, for 3-4 years.

"It is the optimistic forecast which realization is possible only on condition of timely and full financing of all necessary actions", - the official emphasized.
