The cabinet of Ukraine prolonged terms of passing of technical inspection of cars for half a year - till June 1, 2010. The Minister of Internal Affairs Yury Lutsenko reported to journalists about it today after government meeting, the correspondent of RBC - Ukraine reports. "For those who had to pass checkup this year, it is prolonged to the middle of the next year", - the minister noted.
According to him, such decision is predetermined by insufficient quantity of the certified points for checkup passing. According to Yu.Lutsenko, in some areas of such points less than a half from requirement. "We find it possible to prolong checkup for half a year. We consider that during this time officials of Mintranssvyaz, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Gosstandart together with business will create a full-fledged network of checkup", - he noted.
At the same time the minister recommends to pass now technical inspection to owners of cars who have such opportunity. If in the settlement there is no such opportunity, the minister recommends to wait half a year.
