The national commission of regulation of power industry plans to raise since June price of electricity for citizens who consume more than 600 kW - hour in a month, by 3,1 times to about 75,5-76 kopeks/kW - hour
About it on a press - conferences were reported by the chairman of NKRE Valery Kalchenko.
According to him, increase won't concern households which consume more than 600 kW - hour in a month and thus use the electric power for heating and have electric stoves, for large families, families with adopted children and houses of family type, and also for not installed gas houses.
"This increase won't concern unprotected segments of the population, but also even middle class. It is that percent which is able to afford not to save on the electric power", - Kalchenko told, report the Ukrainian news.
He added that tariffs for the electric power 200-300 million hryvnias a year will allow to promote in addition.
Kalchenko also reported that that category for which gas price raises, makes about 1% of all consumers (about 350 thousand households).
As it was reported, on April 14 the Cabinet recommended to NKRE to raise price of electricity for consuming monthly more than 600 kW - hour of the population per 3,5 times.
On March 19 NKRE raised tariffs for the electric power for the population consuming monthly more than 400 kW - hour, by 3,13 times or on 51,9 cop/kW - hour, in comparison with current, to 76,26 cop/kW - hour (with the VAT) since April 1.
On April 2 the commission cancelled this decision on the recommendation of Cabinet of Ministers.
