The national broadcasting company of Ukraine can stop a night broadcasting from - for insufficient funding.
It was declared by the president of NTKU Vasily Ilashchuk, making comments on the prevention of National council concerning television and broadcasting, reports "Telekritika".
So, the National Council at the meeting on Wednesday, April 22, took out NTKU prevention, having found during planned inspection reduction of volumes of a broadcasting on air from 18 o'clock per day till 14 o'clock per day, and also change of a logo of the company.
Ilashchuk explained that in the fall of 2008 night translation was stopped from - for insufficient funding.
The president of NTKU also declared that the company warned the National Council that has no funds for translation of the signal at night, even in the fall of last year.
"We warned about it the National Council in September, 2008. From - for the budgetary insufficient funding we stopped translation from 1.30 till 6.00. The manager of our means - Gosteleradio. Therefore it is questions rather to them and to Cabinet of Ministers", - Ilashchuk told.
According to the president of NTKU, in 2009 night translations were resumed, but probably shortly they again should be stopped, after all the situation with financing didn't improve.
It should be noted that the decision of the National Council on the prevention provides the direction to the letter Cabinet with a request for improvement of financing of NTKU.
