The president Victor Yushchenko charged to the public prosecutor Alexander Medvedko to submit for 20-30 days of the public the report on work on use of budgetary funds at elimination of consequences of a flood in July, 2008 in the territory of the western areas of Ukraine.
He told about it during a meeting with Medvedko which took place on Tuesday morning at the Borispol airport before Yushchenko's official visit to Hungary, reports press - service of the president.
The president and the public prosecutor discussed a condition of implementation of public prosecutor's supervision over use of budgetary funds at elimination of consequences of that flood.
Besides, Yushchenko checked a condition of performance of the assignment connected with observance of the current legislation at ensuring the housing rights of inhabitants of hostels.
At the end of last year to the president about 100 addresses of inhabitants of hostels (Kiev, the Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa areas) about violation of their rights for housing (illegal privatization, closing and a reshaping of hostels, establishment of unreasonably overestimated tariffs for accommodation at them, etc.) arrived that caused his concern about this question.
Besides, Yushchenko and Medvedko discussed a condition of observance of the rights and freedoms of citizens in establishments of State department of performance of punishments of Ukraine.
The president stated concern about estimates of the international human rights institutions concerning observance of the rights condemned in Ukraine, and also appeals of citizens to the Ukrainian and international human rights organizations on the facts of beating and other violations of the rights condemned.
Yushchenko gave concrete examples of penal institutions where there were violations, and charged to carry out the corresponding inspections of work of employees of these institutions for 20 days.
