The president Victor Yushchenko will greet the new coalition in the Verkhovna Rada in case its creation helps effective work of parliament.
Such belief on a coordination board on Monday was stated by the representative of the president in parliament Igor Popov.
It noted that creation of the coalition is only a prerogative of the Verkhovna Rada, however suggested fractions to state publicly the position on this occasion.
"If the new coalition is created for increase in efficiency of activity of the Verkhovna Rada, certainly the president and society will greet such creation", - Popov told.
"The only thing - wants to wish that this important process, especially if it concerns adoption of the new Constitution, I passed most openly", - the representative of the president noted.
"It is obvious to me that the Verkhovna Rada won't take an unconstitutional step, won't add to itself powers and to continue the constitutional term. But as in mass media there is a lot of information on this occasion, only Verkhovna Rada can dispel this information, having publicly stated the position", - Popov added.
At the same time the representative of the president reminded that in the Constitution the head of state submitted the changes for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada two months ago, however till this time they aren't considered.
