Russia asked the IMF to study a situation on solvency of Ukraine for gas, declared vice-the prime minister - the Minister of Finance of the Russian FederationAlexey Kudrin.
According to him, corresponding letter of premieres of RussiaVladimir PutinI wrote to the IMF.
"We asked the International Monetary Fund to study in addition a situation on external payments of Ukraine for gas, it, in fact, execution торгово - the balance of payments", - was declared by Kudrin at a briefing in Moscow.
"In the same letter the prime minister pays attention to need of additional support of Ukraine not to break supply of gas for continuous work of system in the oseena - the winter period", - Kudrin reported.
According to him, Ukraine costs on the devil when it "won't be able to provide fully payments on gas" that very much disturbs Moscow.
Kudrin told that on Friday held a meeting with one of representatives of the management of the IMF and discussed a situation across Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. In particular, according to him, the Russian side during a meeting paid attention of the IMF "to need of full support of Ukraine in the conditions of world financial crisis".
Besides, it reminded that Russia sent the letter to EU about readiness joint efforts to develop measures of support of Kiev not to break supply of gas, and also filling of underground storages of Ukraine.
"As we expect, it has to be both the IMF, and EU, and then Russia is ready to join too these efforts", - Kudrin told.
He emphasized that, according to the Russian side, "The West has to be interested in this support not to allow any failure".
