The leader of Progressive socialist party Natalya Vitrenko considers that the entry of Ukraine into NATO can become the reason of annexation of the Crimea Russia.
She told about it on the round table devoted to the extra block status of Ukraine.
"Involving Ukraine in NATO, the Ukrainian authorities unilaterally actually leave the Big contract (about friendship and cooperation) with the Russian Federation. Big contract... I gave the chance to keep the Crimea and Sevastopol therefore if this contract will cease to work within Ukraine, at once there will be a question of constitutionality of accession to Ukraine of the Crimea and Sevastopol", - she told.
In her opinion, it will be completely supported by the majority of the population of the Crimea and Sevastopol.
Vitrenko also predicts that inhabitants of Donbass, the Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson areas also will disagree with the entry of Ukraine into NATO and there will be a real threat of civil war.
She added that political forces at parliamentary elections 2006 and and presidential didn't declare 2007 2004 in the election programs change of the extra block status of Ukraine.
"Therefore, our people didn't grant it the right to change the status of Ukraine", - she told.
She considers that the policy on the accession to NATO is personal ambitions of authorities in power and has nothing in common with will of the people.
We will remind that Vitrenko supports entry of Ukraine into the union with Russia and Belarus for a solution of the problem of the Crimea and Sevastopol.
