Yushchenko signed the law on excise increase on beer

The president Victor Yushchenko approved the law on increase of a rate of a duty on beer for 93,5% to 0,6 hryvnias for liter.

As they say in the message a press - services of the President, Yushchenko signed the relevant lawAbout modification of laws of Ukraine About the state budget for 2009 and About rates of a duty and import duty for some goods.

We will remind, on June 3 Rada raised a duty rate on beer for 93,5%, or 0,29 hryvnias to 0,6 hryvnias/litre.

However on June 18 Yushchenko vetoed it and signed only after Rada cancelled increase in the income at 97 million UAH due to increase of this excise.

On June 23, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the new edition the Law of UkraineAbout modification of the Law of Ukraine About the State budget of Ukraine for 2009and some other laws of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the parliament partially supported proposals of the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko - the parliament considered proposals of the head of state regarding an exception of regulations on increase in expenses of BP in the sum of 97 million UAH
