In Balaklava about 20 veterans of law-enforcement bodies carried out today picket at the building of the former naval barracks reconstructed under housing - with the purpose to achieve from the authorities of the solution of a question of the installation in earlier it the housing distributed here.
As the chairman of the trade-union organization of the certified staff of law-enforcement bodies of Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the city of Sevastopol the militia colonel in a stock Sergey MAKAROV, the trade-union organization together with public organization "For the Rights of Residents of the House Down the Street on November 7" told some years to the correspondent of the UNIAN tries "to achieve justice that apartments of the house reconstructed on money of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, respectively, and were distributed to our employees that they there were installed and became already full owners of apartments".
It explained that "for today the situation reached a deadlock: the taken place courts between Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the contractor any didn't yield results as they returned the parties to an initial state". Nevertheless, S. MAKAROV told, "we have data that apartments in this house are on sale. Therefore we also decided to act independently, to achieve that to us paid attention".
According to S. MAKAROVA, "first of all more active position the city council, same has to occupy a municipal building". "It is the former barracks which, I so think, is on balance of city municipal property. And the City Council has to take part, understand, take here more accurate position", - he told.
The chairman of labor union also reported that "earlier we already addressed to many heads of the country including the prime minister - to the minister, to the head of parliament, the minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs sent letters. Addressed and to the chairman of the Sevastopol city council. And here, at last, our today's action. We will wait for reaction". According to him, "if the action remains unaddressed if the objective decision which first of all would suit those police officers who received viewing warrants isn't made, and, generally - that, have the legal right for living in these apartments, we will continue further our actions. After all for many militiamen it is the last chance to receive housing".
According to Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the city of Sevastopol, in the second half of 2003 by the decision zhilishchno - the household commission of Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of 56 apartments in the house down the street on November 7 were distributed to employees of militia according to existing turn. Since that moment in turn of Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs they aren't considered any more, and are considered as the persons provided with housing.
Financing of reconstruction of the former barracks was carried out within the "About Provision of Housing for Employees of Militia and Members of Their Families" program. Bills for total amount of 15 million UAH were transferred to Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the city of Sevastopol from Management of municipal construction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, besides, 7 million 200 thousand UAH with "live" money in addition were allocated.
