The president pardoned 77 condemned

The president of Ukraine Victor YUSHCHENKO signed on September 18 the decree about pardon 77 condemned, having satisfied, thus, 181 petitions of citizens and People's Deputies.

As today reported the UNIAN in the Main service of information policy of the Secretariat of the head of state, the Service informs on it concerning pardon.

Among the pardoned 22 women and 55 men. From them - 42 young age, seven advanced, six disabled people, seven having many children, two participants of elimination of consequences of accident on the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station and others.

As noted in GSIP of the Secretariat of the President, since the beginning of year the head of state signed 8 decrees about pardon of 404 people. From them 204 condemned the main measure of punishment is reduced, 200 - are exempted from further serving of the main or additional measures of punishment.
