In response to the appeal of the Nikolaev city organization of the Ukrainian People's Party concerning disagreement with an initiative about a ban of sale of beer, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in the territory of Yachts - club, in the letter the mayor Vladimir CHAIKA thanked the head of the UNP city organization Alexander SMIRNOV "for care of the Nikolaev businessmen who create workplaces and taxes pay, promote increase of a consumption level of production of the Ukrainian and Nikolaev production, providing nikolayevets with work". In too time, according to the mayor, "considering numerous complaints of citizens" and at insistance of participants of public hearings the City Council draft decision "About establishment of restrictions on realization of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and beer in the territory of Nikolaev" included point concerning "a ban of realization of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and beer in objects of portable trade, seasonal objects of portable trade and on the summer platforms located in the territory of city yacht club".
Separately Vladimir CHAIKA emphasized that in the territory city yachts - club except seasonal objects, stationary objects of trade and the restaurant economy, enabling the realization of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and beer which have high level of service are placed, and "conditions of rest of citizens in the above objects meet standards of the sanitary legislation and requirements concerning restriction of the use of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and beer".
The head of the UNP Nikolaev city organization Alexander SMIRNOV in turn noticed that "it would be worth sending similar letters behind signatures of those representatives of the public which initiated this ban, and those representatives of political parties - deputies of the City Council who for it voted, to all workers of seasonal objects of public catering in Yachts - club and to their owners who thanks to such "initiative" lost work and the income".
