The government raises minimum selling prices of sugar of 40%

The government of Ukraine raised for 2009, 2010 agricultural year (September - August) minimum is wholesale - selling prices of sugar of 40,6% - to 4 thousand 500 hryvnias for ton (with the VAT), reported to Interfax — Ukraine agency a source in the ministry of an agrarian policy.

According to the interlocutor of agency, the government made such decision at meeting on September 30 but while this document isn't signed yet the prime minister - the minister.

The cabinet also raised minimum selling prices of sugar beet - from operating 220 hryvnias for ton to 258 hryvnias (with the VAT). Thus, the prices are raised by 17,3%.

As it was reported, for 2009, 2010 agricultural year the government of Ukraine approved minimum prices of sugar of 3 thousand 200 hryvnias for ton.

Capacity of the Ukrainian market of sugar is estimated approximately at 2 million tons per year.
