Eight regional councils, the Supreme Council of the Crimea and the Sevastopol city council appealed in the Prosecutor General's Office to check legality and to cancel the resolution of the Cabinet No. 1033 regulating use of Ukrainian and languages of ethnic minorities in educational institutions of the country.

According to the message, the address was accepted by councils Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Lugansk,Nikolaev, Odessa, Kharkov and Kherson areas.
Deputies consider that this resolution forbids Russian use at schools, reports Компромат.UA with reference to ukranews.com.
"This decision Tymoshenko's government gave start of campaign of language terror in an education system of Ukraine. The resolution No. 1033 obliged all personnel of the state and municipal educational institutions to speak in working hours only Ukrainian", - to be spoken in the statement.
Authors of the statement consider that the norms offered by the government are violation of laws and Constitutions of Ukraine, and also infringement of the personal rights and freedoms of citizens of Ukraine.
Also authors of the statement addressed to Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, the representative of the Verkhovna Rada on human rights to Nina Karpacheva.
We will remind, the Cabinet of Ministers accepted on September 30the resolution No. 1033 "About modification of the provision on general education educational institutions",to which established that teachers of the public and municipal schools in working hours have to speak on - Ukrainian.
Thus, according to the resolution, in the state and municipal educational institutions with training in language of ethnic minority, together with Ukrainian teachers can use language in which it is carried out uchebno - educational process.
52 deputies of Rada appealed in the Constitutional Court to check constitutionality of this resolution.
