Source: The National Bank has no 9,8 billions for Euro-2012

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) informed Cabinet of Ministers on impossibility of allocation of 9,8 billion hryvnias for preparation of Euro-2012, due to excess of the income over NBU expenses.

I reported an unnamed source in NBU about it. Besides, according to the representative of the National Bank, expected NBU following the results of 2009 excess of the income over expenses makes 600-800 million UAH

We will remind, on August 21 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine overcame the veto of the President of Ukraine on the law On modification of the law On the State budget of Ukraine for 2009 and some other laws of Ukraine.

By the law is established that the National bank of Ukraine in 2009 brings in the State budget excess of the budget income over the budget expenses in the current year for total amount not less than 9,8 billion UAH

Euro-2012 is offered to aim the specified revenues at providing appropriate performance of actions for preparation and carrying out in Ukraine.

On September 4 Victor Yushchenko I returned in the Verkhovna Rada with the offers this law. On October 6 the Verkhovna Rada adopted the resolution with which first point it is offered to President to provide performance of the constitutional procedure of coming into effect of the law On modification of the Law On the State budget of Ukraine for 2009 and some other laws of Ukraine, having urgently published the text of this document signed by the head of state.

On October 12 Yushchenko declared that won't sign the law on modification of the state budget for 2009 and offered parliament, according to the Constitution, repeatedly to consider the Law together with the proposals submitted to them.

On October 15, 2009 the parliamentary newspaper the Voice of Ukraine published the law signed by the speaker of Rada Vladimir Litvin, and, thus, the Law came into force.

On October 19 Victor Yushchenko appealed to the Constitutional Court to check constitutionality of provisions of the Law.
