At implementation of direct deliveries of the electric power from Ukraine to Lithuania there is a problem of its transit through Belarus.

As the correspondent of the UNIAN reports, it declared the first vice-the prime minister - the minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, making comments on the statement of the President of Ukraine Victor YUSHCHENKO.

"We have no general border with the Republic of Lithuania and we can provide electric power export only through the territory of Belarus. Unfortunately, I held some negotiations with the Belarusian colleagues, and it is difficult to them to agree on direct transit of the Ukrainian electric power to Lithuania because they have practices and power contracts with RJSC ES, and without them, we will tell so, a consent, without consultations with them, they can't pass transit the electric power of Ukraine to other republics. In it a problem", - I told A.TURChINOV.

He assumed that problems with the solution of a question on transit of the electric power can be connected with that Ukraine is the competitor for other countries exporting the electric power including for Russia.

"It is desirable for President of Ukraine to study geography and to look at borders of Ukraine - with what countries border. And to ask at the beginning a question to the government, to receive information, and then to give already any critical comments", - I told A.TURChINOV.

He also emphasized that Ukraine is always ready to hold negotiations with Lithuania on electric power deliveries.

"We at any time, in any place are ready to conduct these negotiations, the only thing that the Lithuanian colleagues helped us to resolve together an issue of transit of the electric power to their country", - told A.TURChINOV.

As reported the UNIAN, today on joint a press - conferences with the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dali GRYBAUSKAITE by results of negotiations in Kiev the President of Ukraine V. Yushchenko declared that Lithuania is ready to deliveries of the Ukrainian electric power without intermediaries.

He emphasized that it will be transparent cooperation of two government institutions.

"And therefore I would like to note separately: those intermediaries who were already registered in Lithuania to be intermediaries of deliveries, can these plans close", - V. Yushchenko told.

He also reported that presidents of both countries set as an object to organize direct deliveries, without intermediaries, having emphasized that all the rest will be considered as corruption spheres. According to him, among potential intermediaries there are the structures approached to the high-ranking officials from the government. In turn D. Grybauskaite noted that the previous arrangements provided electric power transportation through Belarus, but throughput opportunities between Ukraine and Belarus aren't found out. According to her, it isn't excluded that it is necessary to put investments to avoid need to use the territory of Russia. Also, the President of Lithuania told, today firms - intermediaries "appear as mushrooms" that can't but disturb.

At this V. Yushchenko noted that during negotiations with the President of Belarus Alexander LUKASHENKO the question of capacity of Belarus was discussed. "The Belarusian party will make all necessary to have the corresponding capacities of about 850 million kilowatts a year", - V. Yushchenko told.

He noted that today will address to the government with the requirement to revise the relevant agreements concerning refusal of intermediaries.

V. Yushchenko is convinced that till January 1, 2010 export of the Ukrainian electric power to Lithuania will be begun.
