The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pyotr POROSHENKO declares that hearings about his interest to the former residence ex-the prime minister - the minister Pavel LAZARENKO have under themselves no bases.
He declared it in interview to the Zerkalo Nedeli weekly (to No. 47 (775) of December 5-11, 2009).
According to P. Poroshenko, the residence was equipped for his personal account and will be soon transferred to balance the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"As for the residence, with the President and the prime minister it was coordinated that to the only thing to whom this residence is necessary, is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I made the offer that we equipped this residence for placement of heads of the foreign states in it during their visits to Ukraine, for formation of image of Ukraine as the countries, capable to provide an appropriate level of stay in our territory of heads of other states", - the minister reported.
"As a result I have support of this offer, but I have no money. Then I made the decision that at the expense of my personal means, due to the sponsor's help we equipped this giving. We rapidly in three and a half weeks brought it into an appropriate look, the Ukrainian furniture, the Ukrainian lighting equipment, pictures of modern Ukrainian artists" was bought, - explained to P. Poroshenko.
At the same time, the head reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about preparation of the decree of the President about transfer of this residence on balance of the ministry that will allow to use officially it for placement of heads of the foreign states during their visits to Ukraine.
"I am not going to live there, I have an apartment in Kiev, there is a site on which I am under construction nine and a half years and it is known to all Ukraine", - assured P. Poroshenko.
