Prospects of use of powerful transport capacity of Ukraine within bilateral economic cooperation between our country and the Republic Serbia discussed the First Deputy Minister of Transport and communication of Ukraine Vasily Shevchenko and the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic Serbia in Ukraine mister Dusan Lazich during the meeting which has taken place on December 17 in Mintranssvyaz. Informing the skilled Serbian diplomat who works not so long ago in Kiev, about possibility of domestic branch of transport and communication Vasily Shevchenko noted importance of development of cooperation of both countries in the field of sea and river navigation, proceeding from transit opportunities of Ukraine.
- We are especially interested in effective cooperation on the main water transport artery of Europe - the Danube River. In this context the Ukrainian deep-water ship channel which has today the greatest number of passes since renewal of movement on it is perspective, - emphasized with V. Shevchenko.
In turn mister Dusan Lazich focused attention to need of creation dogovorno - legal base which would govern the bilateral relations on river and sea navigation over what the parties work today.
The Ukrainian party is interested in signing of such Agreement between the governments of the countries. This document has to give an impetus to creation of new economic prospects in development of transportations by the direction Danube - the Black Sea. And actual preparation of the draft agreement on the international automobile transport of passengers and freights in a context of a steady tendency of growth of number of the executed transportations between Ukraine and the Republic Serbia is not less important.
In meeting end Vasily Shevchenko and Dusan Lazich expressed interest in acceleration of process of preparation of the relevant agreements for signing that will promote strengthening traditionally friendship between Ukraine and Serbia, and also commodity turnover growth between our countries.
