The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) addressed to the prime minister - to the minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov with a request not to enter restrictions on grain export till September 15 of the current year, and also to remove all barriers to export of grain which already is in cars, port elevators and by the ships.
About it it is spoken in the address of OUSE to the prime minister - to the minister.
Making comments on the statement of the minister of an agrarian policy of Ukraine Nikolay Prisyazhnyuk for plans in addition, without quotas, to allow export of 1 million tons of grain which is today at ports, OUSE notes that volumes of the grain which have collected in ports considerably exceed declared by the minister. According to association, today 1,1 million tons of grain is in port elevators, 400 thousand tons are already loaded on the ships and 360 thousand tons are in railway cars. Thus, note in OUSE, it is necessary to allow export not to 1 million tons, and 1,9 million tons of grain.
Besides, in association consider that the planned volume of export quotas of 2,5 million tons it is groundless it is low, and its introduction can lead to negative consequences for the market and Ukraine as a whole, in particular, will cause falling of purchase prices that will negatively affect producers of grain and can lead to essential decrease in volumes of crops grain next year.
Also OUSE predicts that within a year Ukraine can lose about 8-9 million tons of grain as capacities of the certified elevators are capable to provide storage only 29,5 million tons of grain at an expected crop of 40-40,8 million tons and limited export.
It is known that the government plans to enter quotas of export grain of 2,5 million tons until the end of 2010. This decision can be made and come into force in the next few days
