The president of Ukraine Victor YANUKOVYCH assures that the state isn't involved at all in cases of restriction of a freedom of speech and pressure upon mass media.

As the correspondent of the UNIAN reports, V. Yanukovych declared it today in the address to the Ukrainian people on the occasion of 19-й anniversaries of Independence of Ukraine, said on the Independence Maidan in Kiev.

"I want to declare with full responsibility that the state isn't involved at all in such cases (restriction of a freedom of speech, to pressure upon mass media - the UNIAN). Here it is a question more likely of the conflicts of interests in business - the circle of owners of mass media which opposition forces try to present to the international commonwealth as attempts to limit a freedom of speech in Ukraine", - the head of state considers.

In return, V. Yanukovych, "as the guarantor Konstitutsii noted, I will do everything possible not to allow the smallest manifestations of pressure upon media".
