On August 23, in Kiev, in the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, at the end of a ceremony of a raising of National Flag of Ukraine, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mikhail Ezhel at the request of the President of Ukraine held an awards ceremony and delivery admiral's a shoulder strap.
So, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 830/2010 of August 20, 2010 for special merits in protection of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, protection of constitutional laws and freedoms of the person, courage and the dedication shown at execution of a military and office duty, and on the occasion of 19-й anniversaries of independence of Ukraine the Minister of Defence Mikhail Ezhel handed over III-award "For Courage" й to degree to the chief vozdushno - fire and tactical preparation - to the senior inspector - the pilot of department of aircraft of air command "Center" of Air Forces of VS of Ukraine to the lieutenant colonel Alexander Nichiporuk.
It should be noted that a high state award the lieutenant colonel Alexander Nichiporuk was awarded for high professionalism, the competent, weighed and cool actions during aviation incident when in the conditions connected with risk for life, I showed courage and heroism at rescue of the crew member and the plane.
At the end of May of this year when performing flights according to the plan letno - methodical collecting in airfield the Nikolaev area in air by modernized plane L - 39M1 which was piloted by the lieutenant colonel Alexander Nichiporuk, in the afternoon in difficult meteoconditions was refused by the engine with partial destruction of its design.
The lieutenant colonel Alexander Nichiporuk instantly made the only thing correctly in this case the decision - using surplus of speed gained height of 3600 meters and began an entry into airfield with decrease at a speed of 300 kilometers per hour.
The situation became complicated eight-mark overcast and in case of not identifications of a landing strip of airfield leaving on the second circle would be impossible. At any mistakes in calculations at landing approach the crew would have to catapult, and the plane could fall thus in the densely populated area, transfer in the Ministry of Defence.
Despite all these circumstances, the lieutenant colonel Alexander Nichiporuk found "gaps" in clouds and could put the plane on home airfield.
