BYuT sharply stopped wanting to allow new parties to local elections

The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, the member of fraction of Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc Sergey Vlasenko doubts that his fraction will support introduction by parliament at extraordinary session of changes in the law on local elections.

He told about it on air of TV company "5th channel" on August 25.

"Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc will define the position at fraction meeting just before meeting of the Verkhovna Rada. But, most likely, we won't support these changes", - he told.

The deputy considers that the changes of the law initiated by the President Victor Yanukovych about local elections are insufficient.

"Why nobody reconsiders procedure of formation of election commissions which in fact makes elections those which don't need not to be carried out? Why don't reconsider the principles of cutting of districts why don't reconsider majority system? " - it asked a question.

Vlasenko considers that the increase in number of parties participating in elections for the purpose of dispersion of electorate of opposition forces will be the only purpose of Party of Regions at change of the law.

As it was reported, according to the chairman of PR fraction Alexander Efremov, on August 30 Rada will consider cancellation of the requirement of registration of the local organizations of parties no later than 365 days about day of local elections for participation in them and increase in structure of election commissions at 3 members.

On August 30 Rada will hold extraordinary session for modification of the law on local elections.

Elections are appointed to October 31.
