The Verkhovna Rada accepted as a whole changes in the law on local elections.
For the bill which author is the regional Alexander Efremov, 264 deputies voted.
It is known that in the explanatory note to the document he noted that the law adopted earlier by parliament contains some provisions which don't correspond "to democratic principles and the international standards".
In particular, "it concerns the discrimination criterion enshrined in the law by which only the local organizations of parties registered no later than 365 days prior to the election day, have the right to propose candidates on local elections".
Besides, these changes the structure of territorial election commissions increases to 18 people and the right to give candidates for formation territorial election commission to all local organizations of the political parties registered in Ukraine is provided.
Also deputies supported the proposal of the deputy from NUNS Ruslan Knyazevich on leaving norm according to which have the right to be the elected of the person who for the voting day reached 18 - summer age in the law.
