The group of scientists of the Nikolaev National University of Shipbuilding (NUS) under the leadership of the director of Institute of automatic equipment and electrical equipment of NUK, the Doctor of Engineering Vladimir Blintsov created the new device intended for underwater researches, under the name "Inspector" which passed recently test on a traverse of Balaklava Bay in the Crimea. The manager of an office of information support of public relations of NUK Anatoly Tchaikovsky reported about it.
At a depth about 90 meters the television camera saw a deck superstructure of the ship which appeared the two-mast bark of "Agness Blake" which has sunk at the Crimean coast during a siege of Sevastopol English - the French armies in 1856. Archeologists use the received video record for search and lifting on a surface of many artifacts.
Visit of the scientific vessel "Nautilus" from which device tests, the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, staying in the Crimea on vacation were carried out became a peculiar event. Victor Andreevich examined video of inspection of "Agness Blake", communicated to scientists. The research supervisor of the project Vladimir Blintsov acquainted the President of Ukraine with long-term work of the Nikolaev scientists on creation of submersibles. By the way, "Inspector" was constructed on own means of collective as a prototype of a big series of devices of underwater inspection of hydraulic engineering constructions and vessels afloat. V.A. Yushchenko highly appreciated achievements of the Nikolaev shipbuilders.
