The owner and the head of the Vanco Energy company Gene Van Dayk refutes statements the prime minister - the minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko concerning "the Russian interests in the project of development of the Prikerchensky site of the Black Sea, hidden under the Houston company". About it reports a press - company service. "Our company isn't interested absolutely not and won't be interested in the future in attraction of any of the Russian oil and gas companies, including the Gazprom company, to our project with the Ukrainian government", - the owner and the head of the Vanco Energy company notes.
It reminds that in 2005 the Ukrainian government was the initiator of open tender on development of the Prikerchensky site of a subsoil of a continental shelf of the Black Sea. In 2006 the Vanco International company, 100% the Vanco Energy subsidiary, on the lawful bases won the tender, and in 2007 coordinated and signed the agreement on production distribution with the Ukrainian government. Conclusion of agreement was carried out is transparent, without attraction of any Russian oil and gas companies.
"This year we had to begin research works. However in May the government violated the concluded agreement, is groundless having left it unilaterally", - D. Van Dayk notes.
According to the head of the Vanco Energy company, such actions of the government detain development of the Black Sea shelf which energy resources in the future could make Ukraine less dependent on the Russian oil and gas. Since May in 2008 the company carried out numerous attempts to meet the government of Ukraine for clarification of problem questions, but all of them were vain. Now the company plans to protect the contract rights at Arbitration institute of the Stockholm chamber of commerce.
"Concern is caused by information on what the Ukrainian government plans to invite Russian "Gazprom" to the project of research and development of the Ukrainian shelf of the Black Sea in what our company isn't interested absolutely not", - he notes.
