The authorities of Lugansk, having painted monuments to revolutionaries in black color, I turned them into "horror films". Such statement at session of the City Council was made today by the deputy of city council from KPU Anatoly Aulov, the correspondent of "Island" reports.
The communist stated confidence that restoration of a memorial complex on Revolyutsii Square in Lugansk at all doesn't meet "esthetic standards".
"The esthetics is an existence of elements of feeling of pleasure", - he reminded, having reported that the figures of revolutionaries painted by black paint don't cause any pleasure.
"I hope, it is made not consciously. Not in order that to discredit these monuments …", - the communist told.
The deputy appealed to the mayor of Lugansk Sergey Kravchenko to bring monuments into accord with esthetic norms.
The mayor, in turn, reported that the monuments painted in black color to revolutionaries are for it news. Officials of the office of executive committee claim that monuments always were black, simply over the years paint faded.
Sergey Kravchenko reminded present that always with big respect treated monuments. Even the leader of the Russian communists Gennady Zyuganov was going to arrive to Lugansk to look at a monument to Lenin which didn't demolish, and, on the contrary, restored.
