The president of Ukraine left for the USA for participation in session of General Assembly of the UN

The president Victor Yushchenko left for the USA with working visit for participation in 63-й sessions of General assembly of the United Nations.

During Yushchenko's visit will make a speech at the general debate of session and will state a position of Ukraine on actual global problems of the present.

He also will sign the Convention of the UN on the rights of disabled people.

Holding bilateral meetings with heads of delegations of other countries, meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian community, businessmen of the USA, members of the Atlantic council of the USA is planned also.

According to the message a press - services of the President, Yushchenko will take part in plenary session of session of General Assembly of the UN on September 24.

On September 23 the President will address members of National geographical society of the USA and Council of the external relations, and also will hold meetings with the American businessmen, representatives of the Jewish organizations of the USA and the Ukrainian community.

On September 22-23 Yushchenko will give interview to the edition of The New York Times and to Bloomberg TV channel.

On a trip the head of state is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Ogryzko and the Deputy head of the Secretariat of President Andrey Goncharuk

As reported, Ukraine hopes for consideration of the draft resolution on the Holodomor of 1932-1933 on 63-й sessions of General Assembly of the UN.
